Client Overview

Our client is a multinational Japanese electronics corporation with thousands of employees.

Business Challenges

Over 100 of their warehouse staff are currently burdened with manually managing thousands of inventory items, shipping units, and warehouse providers. This process is time-consuming, resource-intensive, and prone to errors.

Currently, they are using Excel spreadsheets for some inventory management tasks. However, these spreadsheets are not integrated with their SAP EWM system, leading to inefficiencies.

Our Solutions

To address this, we will implement RPA to automate the process, creating a more streamlined and efficient warehouse management system.

  • Bots will integrate with OCR technology to collect data from various sources, such as Excel files and internal systems, and then move the data into centralized local storage.
  • Bots will calculate and classify inventory, quantities, and stock order statuses, and then automatically update the warehouse system.
  • After tracking and classifying inventory levels, bots will import the data into SAP EWM and send real-time email updates with attached warehouse reports to the warehouse supervisor.

This project uses:

Technology Tools:

Power Automate

  • 15+ attended bots
  • 5+ unattended bots

Integrated Apps:

Microsoft Lens, Outlook, Excel, SAP EWM

Infrastructure:

Window server, MySQL

Key results
